Frequently Asked Questions

All our products are handcrafted in-house and usually take around 1 - 3 weeks to craft then dispatch.

All UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 and should take 1-3 working days.

All EU/USA/ROW orders are shipped via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed and should take 3 - 10 working days.

In the unlikely event of an order going missing, replacement orders are not sent until a Royal Mail investigation has taken place.

We also offer local delivery to the following postcodes - NE8, NE9, NE11, NE16, NE21 at no extra charge.

Ordering from outside the UK?

Customers outside of the UK may have to pay import taxes/duty as this is not collected at the time of your order, this is the responsibility of the customer and not littlebearleads.com

Cleaning our leads & collars

We recommend our leads are cleaned using a washing machine at a temperture no higher than 30°C, we also recommend leads are placed in a delicates bag. Alternatively, you may handwash with warm water.

When visiting the sea, to prevent the corrosion of metal in saltwater, rinse the metal completely in fresh water after removal from saltwater. Dry the metal thoroughly otherwise the tri-ring / clip / hook may begin to rust.

Little Bear Leads dog gear is handemade, all webbing & hardware used to create our products has a breaking load and it's important to decide which product is most suitable for your dog. It is important that all dog owners check leads and harnesses frequently and stop using immediately if there is any wear and tear.

All our leads and harnesses are handmade using a variety of hardware and webbing, therefore may vary slightly in colour, shape or size.

Dog Mattresses - Whilst we use premium strong materials, they are not indestructible, therefore may not be suitable if your dog is known for having destructive tendancies. Littlebearleads is not liable for any refunds, repairs or replacements. The cover over time may fade in colour depending on how often you wash it, for example - our 2 bed covers that are used by our huskies has started to fade slightly due to being washed around 15 times over 2 years. 

Returns

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unwashed and unused, and in its original packaging.

Uk Customers

Pre-made items can be returned (this will be stated on the product page if the item is pre-made), all other items are made to order and therefore a restocking charge of £14.99 is applicable (this does not include postage). To start a return, you must contact us at info@littlebearleads.com. If your return is accepted, there is a charge of £4.00 which covers the cost of your return and a £14.99 restocking charge, you will be emailed a Royal Mail label which you will be required to print, you will also need to hand this package in at a Post Office, plus obtain proof of postage. If you do not have access to a printer, you will need to pay for postage at a post office. Once we have recieved your return, a refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Europe/ROW Customers

Pre-made items can be returned (this will be stated on the product page if the item is pre-made), all other items are made to order and therefore a restocking charge of £14.99 is applicable (this does not include postage).To start a return, you must contact us at info@littlebearleads.com. If your return is accepted, you are responsible for paying the relevant postal charge. Littlebearleads will not cover this.
